   Wash cold

   Cold water preserves fibre softness and prevents shrinkage. Skip the hot cycle — always.

   Gentle cycle, mesh bag

   A mesh laundry bag protects delicate elastic and stops small pieces from tangling.

   Skip the fabric softener

   It coats fibres, dulls colour and reduces breathability. A splash of white vinegar works better.

   Lay flat to dry

   Air-drying flat holds the shape and doubles the life of every piece. The dryer is not your friend here.

   Fold, don't hang

   Knits stretch on a hanger over time. Fold and stack for a longer, cleaner life.
